The art of developing and perfecting olfactory scents and skin products intrigued her at a time when the art was reserved for the big conglomerates and elite soap-makers. She applied her knowledge and skills to experiment and come up with fusions that were innovative and had a quintessentially artisan signature.
From A Humble Beginning
In doing so, Betsy made it possible for people to have accessible luxury through her indulgently handcrafted soaps and lotions, which are naturally made. With the help of her husband and friends, she was able to sell her products at neighborhood parties and local farmer's markets.
Over time, the customers kept coming back for her creations, which led her to set up a shop in the heart of downtown Cleveland's 5th Street Arcade. People from all over come to Simply Betsy Company to purchase her organic and healthy skin and body products. Her locally sourced produce is a hit with her customer base and her clientele includes a large number of loyal customers from visiting athletes to musicians.

Since the business was established, Betsy has continued to innovate and stay ahead of the curve. She has created a variety of soaps for every skin type. For instance, the Simply Betsy Bar, one of her signature creations is made with locally grown beets. Hippie Love has the essence of white sage, calendula and patchouli. Her special pine-tar bar for people with eczema uses pine-tar from Amish country. Like she says, your skin is the largest organ in your body, and just as you would nourish your body by eating healthy foods, you should nourish your skin by using organic and healthy products.

Since its inception, the company has helped the local economy grow. They are also in the process of relocating and opening a new manufacturing facility and retail shop in the Historic Larchmere Neighborhood where they will join the other shops with upbeat vitality and offbeat charm as they enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
